Well Body Care

Body and pelvic care that puts you first, and not your chart.

We want you to feel good in your body.

Our midwives practice with trauma-informed and gender-expansive care and offer compassionate appointment options. Many health screenings can happen without disrobing, and without touch. And should touch be necessary, consensual interactions are always a priority. Our care includes:

  • any urinary or pelvic floor concerns

  • chest/breast health and assessment

  • testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (also known as STIs)

  • decisions and referrals about hormone treatment for folks who are transgender and transitioning (and what to consider if pregnancy is future goal)

  • emotional wellness and holding space for challenges

  • holistic and pharmacological mental health support, resources and referrals

  • lifelong wellness regarding nutritional education, exercise, and other preventative health

  • optimizing sexual health—validating concerns about comfort and difficulties and holding space for changes and exploration

  • ways to avoid pregnancy, including insertions like IUDs and prescriptions for hormonal contraceptives

  • whole body care, screenings and lab work, sometimes called an annual exam

  • your menstrual health and what your cycles have been like for you, if you have them

  • on site blood draws for testing and screening

Periods aren’t taboo here.

The changes that come with puberty can feel overwhelming. We want to take the shame out of discussing what is happening and what you can expect.

Our Midwives would love to be your educators and advocates to help you through the feelings, nutritional needs, and physical changes that come with menstrual cycles.

And, when you are ready, we always hope intercourse is safe and consensual for all parties involved. We can be a place to seek care for changing intimate needs.

Perimenopause + Menopause

Maturing into the phase of life after the possibility of conception means you will have different needs. While the myth of menopause has focused on fertility being most important, new research shows what many living postmenopausal already know: Life is still vibrant and meaningful after your periods end! We want to help you navigate what’s happening and have thoughtful conversations about your goals and your body’s needs.

  • Understanding a new normal for your body

  • Symptoms and coping

  • Broader nutrition needs, supplements, and consider bone density

  • Possibility for intimacy aids to help with normal dryness

“There is much discussion about consent within the context of sex. But consent is about so much more than that. Consent is about time and it's about energy. It's also spacial in scope. Physical space and mental space. People will act entitled to your time, energy, and space. They need to understand that they're not entitled to these things; these things require your consent.”
