This is a series of four classes taught by Melissa Haley of Wyld Garden Doula Services.

This class includes hands-on pain coping strategies, birth partner communication, practical information about labor, medical decision making, postpartum planning, and interactive activities and self-reflective work to build confidence and strengthen your ability to meet whatever the birth of your baby may bring.

You can expect to learn through "three ways of knowing:"

  • Modern knowledge about pregnancy, labor, and postpartum from an evidence-based perspective

  • Intuitive knowledge from an old-as-time perspective - the sort of knowledge that birthing mammals act out in our instincts

  • And self-knowledge, made of the meanings you take into birth and parenting. Understanding what is uniquely important to you is key to knowing how to access the first two types of knowledge.

  • Come ready to build confidence and strengthen your ability to meet whatever your birth may bring!

Class is capped at 4 couplings.
